Enabling the Third Sector Voice

THIRD SECTOR ENGAGEMENT

“Ask not what you can do for your CVS
………but what your CVS can do for you”

We know what the National, Scottish and local Governments want but as the Third Sector Interface for Aberdeen one of our most important jobs is to represent you.
Any issues, concerns or suggestions you have regarding the future of Third sector engagement in community planning or connections with the local authority can be sent to Sarah Irvine, Network Co-ordinator and these will be discussed at the next Third Sector Action Group.

Having a collective voice within community planning, enables the third sector to be heard, respected and valued as we fully participate in the planning of local and national policies and strategies.

Third Sector Representation

Communication encourages connections to develop. Take steps to ensure you and your organisation is involved in the Third Sector Engagement Structure which will ensure you have an avenue to engage and participate in community planning matters.

Connecting

Connectivity creates collaboration.

Process

The Third Sector Participation process has been created to encourage the sector to work together, developing their collaborative voice, in order to influence decision making within community planning and toachieveproductive dialogue with the local authority and community planning partners.

Aberdeen's Agreement embraces a vision for the city where all sectors work together towards a shared goal of improving the quality of life for all Aberdeen's communities and citizens. It also provides, within community planning, a mechanism for other partnerships or initiatives to develop identifying solutions and achieving positive outcomes through collaborative working with the third sector.
