ACVO employs a full-time Funding Officer with a remit to provide an effective and comprehensive funding and business planning advice service to the Third Sector in Aberdeen. The service is appropriate to social enterprises, traditional fundraising organisations, self-help groups and grant-funded organisations based in or working in Aberdeen. Services include:
One-to-one advice, coaching and mentoring for organisations on business planning, funding applications, funding sources, marketing, social enterprise etc.
Signposting, introduction and brokerage of fundraising/sales/awards opportunities, business skilled/fundraising volunteers and capacity building support with the private and other sectors
Distribution of information on funding opportunities by weekly E-bulletin and monthly newsletter.
Provision of Funding Briefing Days – interactive workshops on various aspects of fundraising and business planning
Facilitated consultations, workshops and briefing sessions for individual organisations (staff, committee or stakeholders) on business planning, fundraising strategies, funding applications, funding sources etc.
